Analyst
As an Analyst, your primary responsibility lies in identifying and successfully approaching individuals possessing specialist industry knowledge across Europe. AlphaSights seeks to provide its clients with fast access to individuals possessing relevant expertise on an ad hoc basis. In order to do this, Analysts have to (i) understand and validate client requirements (ii) identify relevant individuals use a variety of techniques and (iii) manage the communication flow with identified individuals from first contact up to referral to our client . You should expect to manage several research projects simultaneously across a broad range of industries.
Your Responsibilities
- capturing, understanding and validating client’s research requirements in a delivery brief;
- identifying, contacting (by email and phone) and convincing suitable candidates of the benefits of participation for each project based on a delivery brief;
- capturing and processing data gleaned from the communication flow with all individuals approached and review with the responsible Associate;
- ensuring adherence to candidate sign-up and compliance procedures;
- utilising web tools such as RSS feeds, Google alerts etc. to quickly determine relevant industry and company developments assisting your search;
- creatively pursuing target candidates via a number of different access channels;
- keeping abreast of best practice with a view to ensuring the delivery process evolves yielding improved efficiency and quality; and
- following our strict guidelines, you will conduct systematic industry research to identify suitable prospective Advisors.
Requirements
You will have highly developed communication skills combined with a desire to learn about new industries and businesses. You have a university degree which will have honed your analytical and research skills. You are not intimidated by the challenge of communicating with international business professionals. You enjoy approaching, meeting and engaging with new people and you possess a natural talent for networking. In addition, you should possess:
- relevant work experience in a professional-services firm in executive search, consulting, conference management or similar (ideal, but not essential);
- ability to multi-task and work independently in a fast-paced environment;
- innate curiosity, interest and proven ability to appreciate key aspects, components and dynamics of industry and businesses;
- ability to quickly adapt to changing priorities and willingness to regularly go “above and beyond”;
- ability to quickly adapt to changing priorities;
- proficiency in web search and related tools;
- entrepreneurial spirit and a “can do” attitude;
- excellent verbal and written communication skills;
- diligence and organisational skill;
- engaging personality and successful track record working in a team environment; and
- high level of proficiency in another European language
